Pansy Homecare Leadership Team Completes Positive Approach to Leadership Training with Teepa Snow

Members of the Pansy Homecare leadership team traveled to Hillsborough, North Carolina, to attend the Positive Approach to Leadership (PAL) Training.

From April 29 through May 1, members of the Pansy Homecare leadership team traveled to Hillsborough, North Carolina, to attend the Positive Approach to Leadership (PAL) Training at the Snow Approach Foundation Education Center.

Representing Pansy Homecare were Jonah Francis, Greg Thelusma, and Antonia Mahoney. During the two-day immersive experience, the team trained directly within the Positive Approach to Care (PAC) environment created by internationally recognized dementia care expert Teepa Snow.

The PAL training is designed for leaders and organizations committed to embedding dementia-focused, person-centered principles into every level of their culture and operations. The program focused on leadership development, dementia care strategy, team communication, coaching, sustainable systems, and practical implementation of PAC principles within organizations.

For the Pansy team, this experience was more than professional development. It was a continuation of the organization’s commitment to Purpose Filled Care — a model centered around relationship-based dementia care, meaningful engagement, and supporting both families and caregivers with dignity and compassion.

Throughout the trip, the team connected with other dementia care leaders from across the country, exchanged ideas, discussed best practices, and explored innovative ways to improve the experience of those living with dementia and the families who support them.

One of the highlights of the experience was spending time with Teepa Snow in person at the Snow Approach Foundation Education Center. The visit reinforced Pansy Homecare’s mission to remain at the forefront of dementia care education, leadership, and innovation.

Pansy Homecare continues to invest heavily in ongoing training and education because memory care is not something people “just know.” The organization believes exceptional dementia care requires continuous learning, coaching, structure, and leadership development.

This training directly supports the company’s long-term vision of becoming Connecticut’s statewide authority on dementia care through Purpose Filled Care, Purple Flag standards, and PAC-aligned leadership.

At Pansy Homecare, growth is never just about the company. It is about creating better relationships, better care, and better outcomes for every family served.
